In other news, the By-Laws Amendment PASSED and we are waiting for the National to sign off on it before we can incorporate it into our By-Laws. As you may have heard, this amendment creates an affordable and reasonable pathway for those who’ve elected to drop dues to become members in good-standing.

The reason for this is simple: we are better TOGETHER than we are divided. UWUA Local 304 is YOUR union, so if it’s not what you think it should be, then you share part of the blame and responsibility.

Past disagreements arose from personality conflicts and some well-meaning, but harmful, missteps made by frustrated members and other members lack of forgiveness for those actions.

The task of representing YOU should NEVER be about who’s who and more based on facts, precedent, proper procedure, and communication among the members and across departments.

We have work to do!
